  Bi-weekly ICEHOTEL UPDATES!

Lapland is more a region then a country. It is the Arctic part of Europe and stretches over Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Jukkasjärvi, close to the most Northern Airport in Sweden, Kiruna, is where our ICEHOTEL designers will land this Monday.

The Kiruna Airport is small, and has limited amenities.

Basically Ice!  Before opening the door of the airplane, passengers and crew put on their Arctic gear, since the frost can be intense.

We are told that actually in the ICEHOTEL itself, based on the Igloo Concept, temperatures are only a couple of degrees below freezing, considered in the region, "Quite Comfortable".

Since the ICEHOTEL is not quite finished yet,  Robert and Jennifer might have to face temperatures of -40F to direct, design and work to get their design done.

Follow Robert and Jennifer as they head up to the Arctic to help design the famous ICEHOTEL, 225 km into the Arctic Circle.

Lapland is big, very cold and full of surprises. Each winter the ICEHOTEL emerges in Jukkasjärvi once the Polar Frost descends on the area. 

It all started 14 years ago with the idea that Ice, Light and the Aurora Borealis might create a magical moment in One's Life, and has gained a strong international reputation since.  Movies used the Idea, International Guest explore the hotel with fervor. 

The KNX1070 story will be about " How this Craziness actually gets build". In ' live' interviews KNX1070 will paint the pictures of this Arctic Endeavor and follow the challenges our Robert and Jennifer will face .

Visuals of our ICEHOTEL artists challenges will be available on the Studio-RMA website right after the KNX1070 airing .  

It's not for the meek, so be advised .   Things happen !
