| Slated to be Carbon Neutral and SCIP LEED PLATINUM | The house is designed with SCIP technology, and is slated to be Carbon Neutral and LEED PLATINUM. Through using the latest green technologies, eco-engineering techniques and an open mind to realizing Carbon Neutral Buildings are a reality for the present, Studio RMA was able to deliver this splendid house for its residents and reach a step further on the world wide effort of going Carbon Neutral.
History of the Design
The house is fully off the grid, with a 12kw solar voltaic installation, and is located atop a knoll on the site with sweeping ocean views. The 14 acre site is also an organic farm.
The inverted roofs act as the water catchment system, and are oriented in such a manner that the solar panels face optimum exposure.

Natural cooling and ventilation systems are provided by positioning the roofs on the trade winds, using the Studio's proven system to cool houses in the Pacific using negative air pressure.
